14k Color Change Montana Sapphire + Diamond Akimbo Necklace

A unique necklace you won't find anywhere else. This pentagonal sapphire was mined in Montana, USA and has a color change characteristics.

Color change sapphires very rare for Montana mined material. The presence of the trace element vanadium is believed to cause this effect. The first color appears in daylight or fluorescent light and the secondary color appears in incandescent light or candlelight. This particular stone appears a beautiful teal blue in sunlight and changes to a gentle green under artificial light.

We accented this beauty with two white diamonds for extra sparkle. 

Montana mined sapphires are one of the few precious stones still mined in the USA. Not only was this stone mined in Montana but also cut and polished in the same state. A true all-American stone and a great gift.
