Indonesian Large Grape Agate Cluster

A crystal of many names, grape agate is a market name for purple crystals with botroiydal (spherical) growth habit. Mineralogically speaking, grape agate is not an agate at all but rather a form of purple chalcedony.

This specimen is from Indonesia where some of the best material is found. Its color gradates from purple to a mauve color and its circular "grape" pattern is clean and defined.

You will be getting the exact crystal pictured. It measures approx 5" x 4.5" x 3" and weighs 1lb 13 oz.
