Enhydro Agate - RARE
These exquisite enhydro specimens are rare beauties with a hidden secret. These palm-sized polished agates have water inside that can be seen when held to the light.
Enhydros are formed when water rich in silica percolates through volcanic rock, forming layers of deposited stone. As layers build up, the mineral forms a cavity in which the water becomes trapped. The cavity is then layered with the silica-rich water, forming its shell and trapping the liquid. Enhydro agates can also contain debris or even petroleum and because the cavity is not full, you can hear the liquid moving around when you shake it.
The water inside these agates is millions of years old which make these unique stones great collector's specimens. These are carefully packed when shipped.
