Metalsmithing Classes
Our private classes are designed for one OR two people - perfect for a couple's or a BFF's night out! We've designed these three hour workshops to be project-based which means each class is tailored to a project YOU want to make.
You'll have full access to our studio of tools - pliers, files, saws, hammers, burnishers, punches, stamps, rotary tools, torches, mandrels, jigs, a laser welder, a laser engraver, and more depending on the project you choose. All projects are completed in sterling silver with semi-precious stones, and all tools & sterling silver are included in the cost of your session.
We schedule our three hour workshop sessions with you on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday evenings when our shop is closed. Most of our workshops are designed to complete a project from start to finish but if you'd like to complete a project that would span more than one three hour session, we can schedule multiple sessions. Each session ranges from $200-$300 per person depending on how much silver is required to complete the project.
If you'd like to incorporate 14k yellow gold in your project, please inquire about additional costs based on market pricing.
Since we will be working with hand tools and treatment chemicals, please wear clothes you wouldn't mind getting dirty. We do not recommend attending this class if you are pregnant.
Workshop location: Common Ground, 123 Main St. Ste C, Greenport NY 11944. Due to insurance requirements, all attendees must be 18 years of age or older.
