Campo del Cielo, Spanish for "Field of the Sky," is a renowned iron meteorite impact site in northern Argentina created 4,000–5,000 years ago. An asteroid broke apart in the atmosphere, leaving over 26 craters. Thousands of iron fragments exist, including the 37-ton "El Chaco."
