Opalized Wood + Sterling Surfs Up Earrings - One of a Kind

Sale price$220.00 USD

Peruvian opalized wood is a fascinating form of opal where silica-rich fluids have replaced ancient timber under specific geological and hydrothermal conditions. It's known for its unique color and banding - the remnants of tree rings that are millions of years old. We wrapped these unique pieces in silver and hung them from simple sterling silver earwires. These colors remind me of surfboards for a playful, summery look.

Please note that wood opal has natural inclusions from the million-year-old process of opalization. These inclusions do not change the structural integrity of the stone. In our minds, they add to the organic nature of its look and feel.

Spiritually, Peruvian opalized wood is a stone known for openness, compassion, and tranquility.
